A QUICK REVIEW OF A BUCKET OF BLESSINGS

A  BUCKET OF BLESSING by Kabir Sehgal and Surishtha Sehgal 2014. Beach Lane Books 32 pages.

First three sentences:  Near a majestic mountain, in a vast jungle with many mango trees, lives Monkey. It has not rained for weeks. The village well and the pond are dry.

Premise/plot: The overall premise of this book is to show how one person can make a difference in the world.  How sacrifice/a selfless action made by one individual can aid all of humanity. It is a guided reading level fiction book for children.  It is not broken into chapters which makes for easy reading.  Ages 4-8.

Our thoughts:  A wonderful and action packed little book for parents looking for South-Asian culture/folklore based books.  Great addition to any parents/educators library for teaching kids great values.  This book has bright and colorful illustrations of each of the characters/animals.  It is very appealing to the eye.

We received, the book, A Bucket of Blessings in our Sanskriti box. What is a Sanskirit box? See here!
